Street Photographer of the week!
Posted by Martina Biccheri on 09 ago 2014 / 0 Comment

Hi friends!

how do you like street photography?

I personally love it and Henri Cartier Bresson is probably my bigger muse, he used to wander in Paris with his Leica and took brilliant photos. He who once said:

“There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative. Oop! The Moment! Once you miss it, it is gone forever.”

Back to August 2014,“Street Photographer Blog” chose a new street photographer to feature every week, my turn now!  Here’s a link to my latest online publication:

Editorial for “Il giallo” / Cairo Editore
Posted by Martina Biccheri on 17 giu 2014 / 0 Comment

A few days ago I´ve had the pleasure to shoot an editorial for a weekly Italian magazine.

A young 10 years old boy who lives in Rome saved himself and his friends from a woman who kidnapped them at school, as a reward towards his bravery, Rome´s mayor asked the boy´s parents if there was anything the city could do to Thank him for his gesture. They said their son loves the Italian music band Modà ( http://www.rockmoda.com ) and they suggested a surprise “meet and greet”.

I was lucky anough to be there and document this special moment, here’s a backstage photo of me with the band:

H e l l o    f r i e n d s !

In the past months I have been traveling back and forth from Rome to Paris, I am enjoying my time in the Ville Lumiere more and more each time, visiting art galleries and taking long (rainy) walks.

While during my time in my hometown Rome, I made new amazing experiences shooting concerts. They were my very first music photography attempts and I enjoyed them so much that I want to shoot more and more musicians!

Here are two links to two best-selling italian women artists I have had the privilege to shoot, I uploaded those works on my creative studio website  www.rustandgold.com , which I lead with Carina Wachsmann, have a look and if you wish, please give me your precious feedback:

“Festival della fotografia” @ MACRO Museum / Rome
Posted by Martina Biccheri on 09 dic 2013 / 0 Comment

This 2013 has been really generous to me and my award winning photograph 2pm has won one more contest. I joined a national online competition launched from Repubblica (best selling italian newspaper) + “Festival della fotografia” in collaboration with MACRO ( Rome’s municipal contemporary art museum).

4.000 submissions and 20 winners, whose photographs were printed and exposed.

I was one of them! Flattered to have my work hang on MACRO’s walls, it has up to 3.000 visitors a day and is the most visited Museum in Italy.

BRING ON 2014!
